This website offers information on environmental change in specific places in the world; lick on the yellow dots which represent a loaction, this will then bring up a satellite image of the location, with the option of looking at other satellite images taken of this location at different periods in history. Alongside these visual images is an article which details the changes which have taken place and an explanation into why these changes have occured.
These changes are categorised into: wildlife, water, geology, forest, disaster, desert, city and agricultural.

This is a really good site as it provides for a large range of ages.

Websites on Environmental Change for Children

Both websites provide a similar service, giving background descriptions on weather and climate and then offering information on climate change. Both are very child friendly and interactive sites, with games, pictures and animations. The second website can also be accessed a broader age range as it provides more advanced concepts, information and terminology, but this does not succeed in complicating the issue.

Environmental Change and its impact on Children's Health

The 'Institute for Children's Environmental Health', is an educational organization which aims to provide a healthy and sustainable future for children. The website details the initiatives which are being undertaken to eliminate the environmental impact which can result in affecting the health of current and future generations.
The website also provides up-to-date relevant information on environmental health news.

I have posted this website because, firstly, I considered the information on current projects relevant and secondly, the website provides a desriptor of specific health problems which may impact on children.

This website provides a description which explains how Climate, Ecosystems and Stratospheric Ozone Depletion impacts upon health. These explanations are understandable and supported with diagrams. Weblinks to other sites for further detail are provided.

This is a website from 'The United Kingdom Environmental Change Network'.
Its provides an introductory explanation into what climate change is and the factors which affect it. It then provides subsequent predictions of some of the consequences which could occur both globally (i.e. a rise in sea level, change in vegetation zones and ecosystems, increase in disease level) and nationally (a national detailed study on how climate change is affecting humans, agriculture, vegetation, the ozone layer, hydrology, invertebrates, marine life, forests, birds, and the freshwater environment.)
